Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

According to CTOnews.com news on November 15, Tesla's entire complex body bottom structure is produced by integrated die casting, and the time to develop a new car is shortened to 18-24 months. at the same time, it will greatly reduce car production costs and improve production efficiency.

Although this technology has obvious advantages in manufacturing, efficiency and even safety, there are still technical difficulties to be solved. For example, many users and insurance companies are worried about whether this all-in-one body will be sky-high if it is to be repaired. As a result, Tesla has been trying to prove that the use of integrated die-casting technology does not make his vehicle more expensive for maintenance.

According to a new report from Autocar, Tesla is investing in research and development to find new ways to repair his latest integrated die-casting technology:

Tesla insider revealed that the company is investing in research and development to find innovative "all-in-one die casting (megacast)" body bottom repair solution. Their goal is to develop efficient, cost-effective repair technologies that maintain the structural integrity of the vehicle.

Tesla is said to be working with Thatcham Research to "test the new bottom structure of electric car manufacturers".

On September 17 this year, Tesla's 5 million vehicle in the world went off the line at the Shanghai Super Factory. The new integrated die-casting technology is the key for Tesla to produce tens of millions of affordable electric vehicles and make a profit in the next decade.

The technology is also at the core of the "disassembly process" of Musk's latest car assembly system, which Musk announced in March. Tesla said that the new assembly method could reduce the production cost of electric vehicles by 50 per cent and reduce factory space by 40 per cent.

The technology is attractive to big companies, and Idra, which supplies giant die-casting machines for Tesla, confirmed that many carmakers have placed orders since Tesla popularized the technology in the automotive industry.

Public reports show that in addition to Tesla, new car-building forces such as Weilai, Xiaopeng and ideal, as well as traditional brands such as Great Wall, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Hyundai have followed in Tesla's footsteps to adopt this technology.
