Wang Weiren, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal Government, attended the press conference and introduced the objectives, tasks and related measures set out in the work Plan. At the front end, we should continue to improve the effectiveness of classification and further enhance the public's awareness of fulfilling the obligations of domestic waste classification; at the end, we should speed up the improvement of disposal capacity and continue to maintain the zero landfill of primary domestic waste.

The work Plan encourages the establishment of fine and classified waste bins on characteristic roads, characteristic neighborhoods and high-standard cleaning areas, speeds up the construction of a number of high-quality service points for recyclable recycling, and upgrades a number of high-quality transfer stations and distribution yards; through digital empowerment, realize the closed-loop management of the whole process of domestic waste collection and transportation.

CTOnews.com noted that for express delivery, takeout and other industries, the "work plan" emphasizes further promoting source reduction, promoting green catering, advocating "CD-ROM action", reducing excessive packaging in express delivery, takeout, e-commerce and other industries, and promoting the formation of a social consensus of moderation, green and low carbon. Through the construction of slag utilization project and the demonstration of high-value and low-carbon utilization technology of wet waste biogas slag, the deep resource utilization can be realized and the level of resource utilization can be improved in an all-round way.
