CTOnews.com November 15, the Raspberry pie Foundation launched a web-side code editor in April this year. In the recent version update, it added web projects that support HTML and CSS, and improved the editor's experience on mobile devices such as tablets.

Mel Farrington of the Raspberry Pie Foundation said:

We launched the Code Editor earlier this year, which is a free online tool to help children aged 9 and over learn code programming.

We focus on supporting the needs of young people who learn programming at school, Code Clubs and CoderDojos, and at home.

Today, we have two exciting updates to share: one is a web project that supports HTML / CSS, and the other is to improve the mobile and tablet experience.

The raspberry pie code editor previously only supported Python, and with the addition of HTML and CSS, aspiring Web developers can create and preview web content directly in the code editor.

The editor supports side-by-side views, so you can encode and preview at the same time. For security and other reasons, the editor does not have the ability to add external Web links or upload images.

The editor also provides a free gallery and adds a new Web path profile that contains six examples of HTML and CSS projects.

The code editor has also been updated to provide a better experience on tablets and other mobile devices. It now looks and works better on small screen devices and has separate menus, code, and output / preview tabs, but it still provides the same functionality as desktop systems.

The code editor is still in the testing phase, and CTOnews.com attaches a link here for interested users to experience it in depth.
