CTOnews.com, November 15, according to a list recently released by the US Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a patent for Apple Watch-related technology, with a second screen in the strap that can be used to display icons, notices and other related content.

According to the patent description, the future Apple Watch strap will be equipped with one or more light-emitting devices that can be connected to the home screen to display relevant information such as applications and notifications.

The patent picture attached to CTOnews.com is as follows, in which figure 17 shows a side view of Apple Watch with a hinge segment strap; figure 18 shows an internal schematic diagram of each watch band hinge, coupled to the circuit in the main screen # 112 through a signal path or other signal path structure on the flexible printed circuit.

Each strap segment may be composed of transparent areas made of polymer or glass; as shown in the top view of fig. 20, the output surface of the image transport layer # 80 may have a plurality of separate areas, which are illuminated in this manner to display icons and the like.
