CTOnews.com, Nov. 15 (Xinhua)-- Airbnb announced on Tuesday local time that it had acquired GamePlanner.AI, a 12-person artificial intelligence start-up, for an undisclosed amount, and Airbnb declined to give further details about the deal.

Tuyuan Pexels said the deal was worth just under $200m (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.458 billion yuan), citing people familiar with the matter, according to CNBC.

It is worth mentioning that GamePlanner.AI was founded by Adam Cheyer, who is one of the founders of Apple's voice assistant Siri.

The startup will complement Airbnb's existing range of artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models, computer vision models and machine learning.

Brian Chesky, chief executive of Airbnb, said: "artificial intelligence will change our world faster than any other technology in our lives."
