CTOnews.com, November 14, DaVinci Resolve 18.6.3 software update has been released, adding support for synchronizing media files from network folders for cloud projects.

CTOnews.com attached Leonardo da Vinci DaVinci Resolve 18.6.3 update as follows:

Project owners can now synchronize between their Blackmagic Cloud Store and any network-attached storage disk or folder, allowing high-end projects that use a large number of shared storage to deploy cloud workflows. This update also adds an option to prevent you from entering sleep mode during file upload or proxy file generation, so that these functions can run continuously no matter what settings your computer uses.

The DaVinci Resolve 18.6.3 update also adds support for a new dialog menu to appear when a project is imported into a cloud project library. This means that you will be prompted to configure project settings such as media and proxy file storage locations at the beginning of the import to ensure that the project structure is correct from the start.

In terms of project delivery, you can now choose proxy media files instead of camera raw files as Web presets, saving unnecessary processing and speeding up the delivery workflow. The new version of the software also adds decoding support for 4:2:2 HEIF and HIF clips, allowing you to use higher-quality material captured by your smartphone.

Several stability improvements are also included in this software update, including optimized pop-up window management and control on Mac computers running Sonoma 14.1, better transition deletion when dealing with segments with the egress point range applied, and improved speed performance when performing ripple editing on large timelines. After upgrading, you can also better handle the saturation of HDR images when using custom curves to soften trim. DaVinci Resolve Studio also improves the performance of audio synchronization when merging human voice isolated audio.
