CTOnews.com, Nov. 14 (Reuters)-Google was fined 1500 million rubles (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.19 million yuan) on Tuesday for repeatedly refusing to store Russian user data on servers in Russia, Reuters reported.

Google has been fined by Russia many times, mainly for failing to delete content deemed illegal by Russia.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Google's Russian subsidiary filed for bankruptcy in the summer of 2022 after authorities closed the tech giant's bank accounts, preventing it from paying employees and suppliers.

In September 2022, a court in Moscow accepted a bankruptcy application from Google's Russian subsidiary and initiated preliminary bankruptcy proceedings to put the company under supervision.
