CTOnews.com November 14 news, foreign digital media Igor's LAB recently evaluated Intel's Core i9-14900K and Core i9-13900KS processors to determine which model can achieve 6GHz Rui frequency under lower power consumption.

Intel Core i9-14900K and Core i9-13900KS are essentially the same processors with almost the same standard frequency. Intel officially, these two chips can achieve 6GHz Rui Band.

However, the physique of each CPU is different, and the CPU with lower energy consumption also means higher overclocking ability.

Igor's LAB tested 154 Core i9-14900K (F) samples and 24 Core i9-13900KS models.

Although the sample is not as large as expected, it still shows interesting results. The method of this test is simple: put the processor on the test bench, read the voltage-frequency curve, and pay attention to the voltage required for each chip to accelerate to 6 GHz.

According to the sample data, Core i9-14900K requires 1.468V to achieve 6GHz frequency, and 1.508V at worst and 1.398V at best.

The best score of Core i9-13900KS is 1.433V, which is much worse than that of Core i9-14900K.

Of the 24 Core i9-13900KS samples, 11 reached 1.488V, which may roughly indicate the average voltage required to operate under 6GHz.

It is worth mentioning that the best Core i9-14900K samples come from the same batch of X337R173, and all the core i9-14900K samples tested are produced in the same factory in Vietnam.

In addition, even the worst processor in the "R" batch is better than the best processor in all other batches. Of the other five batches of chips, four are of almost the same quality, and the quality of the last batch is significantly worse than that of the other six batches.
