CTOnews.com, Nov. 14 (Xinhua)-- OpenAI is battling Google for talent with multimillion-dollar compensation packages and top technology resources, such as artificial intelligence accelerator chips used to run tests, according to The Information. To attract some of Google's best researchers.

OpenAI is exploring an employee share sale that values the company at $86 billion, Bloomberg reported last month.

It is reported that if the company's recruiters succeed in poaching Google's top artificial intelligence researchers, they could receive a salary of $5 million to $10 million after the latest stock sale.

According to TechCrunch, the company completed a share sale in April, valuing it at between $27 billion and $29 billion.

CTOnews.com notes that OpenAI has hired some talent from Google and Meta to help develop its artificial intelligence chat robot ChatGPT. Last November, OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT in the thanks section of its blog post listing five former Google researchers.

As of February, OpenAI had hired at least 93 people who had worked at Google and Meta. According to LeadGenius and Punks & Pinstripes, the company has about 59 former Google employees and about 34 former Meta employees working for it.

A recruitment message for a research engineer on OpenAI's "Superalignment" team shows that annual salaries range from $245000 to $450000, and that the total compensation includes "generous equity" and other benefits.
