Geely Holdings Group said that as the 10th automotive group member of IATF International Automotive working Group and the first Asian member in history, Geely Holdings Group will represent Chinese auto brands, jointly participate in the formulation of international quality standards, show the image of Chinese auto companies, speak for Chinese automobiles, and join hands with global excellent auto companies to promote the sustainable development of the world automobile industry.

According to CTOnews.com query, IATF is a specialized organization established by the world's major automobile manufacturers and associations in 1996, with 11 automotive group members, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Ford, Geely, etc., committed to optimizing the global automotive standardization process, improving the production efficiency of the automotive supply chain, and establishing an international unified automotive industry quality management system standards and quality tools. More than 80000 automobile and parts manufacturers around the world have passed the IATF certification.

On April 8, 2021, Geely Holdings Group formally joined IATF and became the tenth automobile member of IATF International Automotive working Group, and has the voting rights of directors.

IATF members include the following automakers:

BMW Group, Ford Motor Company, Geely Holdings Group, General Motors, Iveco Group, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Mercedes-Benz Group, Renault Group, Stellantis (former FCA), Stellantis (former PSA), Volkswagen and their respective national automobile industry associations-AIAG (USA), ANFIA (Italy), FIEV (France), SMMT (UK) and VDA (Germany).
