At present, there are two known models of Phoenix APU, one is called Phoenix1, the other is called Phoenix2, also known as Small Phoenix.

AMD Phoenix (1) has 8 Zen4 cores and 12 RDNA3 CU, while Phoenix2 has only 2 Zen4 cores, 4 Zen4c cores, and 4 RDNA3 CU.

The PCI ID database lists Phoenix3 as "1900" and Phoenix4 as "1901" (CTOnews.com Note: this ID refers to the graphics subsystem), which is a far cry from "15BF" and "15C8" of Phoenix and Phoenix2.

As a result, VideoCardz suspects that Phoenix3/4 may not be based on RDNA3, but on something completely different like RDNA3.5.

From the perspective of Phoenix series drivers, the current driver supports more than 483 Phoenix1 versions and 19 Phoenix2 versions, which are usually implemented in different ways in OEM. Most of them use the same specification, but to ensure full compatibility, the AMD driver detects each model under different sub-device ID, that is, integrated graphics cards for Radeon 780m, 760m and 740m.

VideoCardz speculates that these may be updates to the next-generation APU, mainly aimed at the next-generation mobile product line (Ryzen 8000). In addition, AMD is now preparing its "Hawk Point" family of processors, which may also be the direction of Phoenix3/4.
