Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, November 14, according to SPIC (State Power Investment), 18:48 on November 12, the last warehouse of the ring foundation of the No. 1 cooling tower of the No. 1 cooling tower of the Guangdong Lianjiang nuclear power project, the world's first super-large high-level nuclear power catchment seawater cooling tower, was successfully poured, marking the full closure of the ring foundation of the No. 1 cooling tower and laying a solid foundation for the next step in X-column and tube wall construction.

SPIC, ▲ figure source, according to the following introduction, the circular foundation of the cooling tower is more than 10 meters wide and more than 2 meters thick. the concrete pouring method is divided into 24 silos, each warehouse has a concrete volume of about 660m3, and the total amount of ring foundation concrete is about 15900 cubic meters.

The State Power Investment said that the implementation of the project has realized the transformation of major special technical achievements of super-large cooling towers in China. Through the research on the key technologies of super-large cooling towers, the State Nuclear Power Institute has carried out 28 experiments, completed 124 research reports, 13 software development projects, 7 patents, 8 software copyrights, 11 technical secrets and 3 proprietary technologies. China has fully independent intellectual property rights of super-large natural ventilation cooling towers, mastered the core technology, and established a perfect standard and system of super-large towers.

CTOnews.com inquiry learned that the first phase of Guangdong Lianjiang nuclear power project plans to build two CAP1000 third-generation nuclear power units, the first in China to adopt seawater secondary circulation cooling technology, and the first to develop and use super-large cooling towers in the field of nuclear energy in China. Each unit is equipped with a counter-flow natural ventilation high catchment tower with a height of 218.7 meters, a diameter of about 175m, and a single tower watering area of 20000 square meters. It is the world's first super-large high-level nuclear power catchment seawater cooling tower, which is mainly composed of foundation, inclined pillar, tower tube, intake central shaft, water distribution system, heat transfer packing, water collection system, main collecting tank, water remover and so on.

According to the State Power Investment, the application of seawater secondary circulation cooling technology in the Lianjiang nuclear power project will further enhance the environmental friendliness of the nuclear power project and broaden the layout and space for the development of nuclear power plant sites in China. It provides an important demonstration and reference for the development and construction of nuclear power plant sites in China.
