Apple launched the iOS 17.0.2 firmware in September, with the internal version number 21A351. "this update fixes a problem that may prevent data from being transferred directly from another iPhone during setup," Apple wrote in its update log.

Over time, Apple will gradually stop providing authentication for older versions of iOS to prevent users from downgrading to older versions of the software. Currently, iOS 17.1.1 is the latest version of iOS available to the public, while iOS 17.2 is currently in public beta and is expected to be released in December.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the latest iOS 17.2 version includes many feature updates, such as notebook applications, collaborative Apple Music playlists, Action Button translation options on iPhone 15 Pro, iMessage contact key verification, additional weather and clock widgets, etc.
