CTOnews.com, November 14 (Xinhua)-- Apple Health (Apple Health) launched two studies, "Apple Heart and Movement Study" and "Apple Women's Health Study" in 2019, to celebrate today's World Diabetes Day by sharing the results of research on blood sugar and diabetics.

These findings help diabetics gain a better understanding of the effects of different food, activity and life stressors on blood sugar, in addition to Apple Watch data on activity, steps, sleep and menstrual cycle, providing scientists with new insights.

CTOnews.com attached some of the results of Apple's "Apple Heart and Movement Study" and "Apple Women's Health Study" studies as follows:

Increasing the amount of daily exercise, or walking steps per day, increased the average percentage of time that blood sugar maintained the target range of 70-180 mg / dL per day.

People who exercise for more than 30 minutes a day spend 78.8% of their time in the target range of 70-180 mg / dL.

Female participants walked 10,000 steps a day and could be seen to stay within the target range of 70-180 mg / dL for most of the time, while the proportion of male participants was 76.4%.

The analysis and investigation of 1982 menstrual cycles showed that the duration of blood glucose levels within the ideal range of 70-180 mg / dL increased slightly during the follicular phase. It is characterized by low progesterone levels (the average day time accounts for 68.5%), while the average daily ideal blood glucose time in the luteal phase accounts for 66.8%.

Participants also had a slightly shorter time to exceed the target range of blood sugar during the follicular phase (28.9%) than in the luteal phase (30.9%).
