Huawei said that since Huawei announced on September 25 that the new HarmonyOS NEXT was ready and Hongmeng native applications were fully launched, companies and developers in finance, travel, social networking and other fields have announced to join Hongmeng Ecology. It is worth mentioning that HarmonyOS NEXT can only use installation packages in Hap format, which means that HarmonyOS will no longer adapt to Android applications.

Prior to this, Meituan has taken the lead in developing and adapting a number of functions based on the characteristics of Hongmeng's system and user needs, including the launch of Huawei mobile desktop "universal card" meta-service, Push Kit live window function, and so on.

Recently, a number of applications have announced the launch of Hongmeng application development. On November 6, the same trip announced the launch of the original Hongmeng App development, with plans to complete the core version development by the end of 2023. The first phase of the original App of Hongmeng, the same journey travel, will cover the full product line booking functions such as air tickets, train tickets, hotels, vacations and bus ticket bookings, while business travel and other functions will be updated and improved in subsequent versions.

Data show that as of August this year, the number of Hongmeng ecological equipment has exceeded 700 million, and 2.2 million developers have devoted themselves to the development of Hongmeng ecology. As of October 30, the number of upgraded devices in HarmonyOS 4 exceeded 100 million.
