According to CCTV, this ultra-high-speed backbone channel is based on key core technologies such as 1.2T ultra-high-speed IPv6 interface and 3X400G ultra-high-speed multi-optical path aggregation of the next-generation Internet core router independently developed in China, with a total length of more than 3000 kilometers, realizing all domestic and independent control of the system software and hardware equipment.

In addition, this backbone channel is also a major technical test achievement of the project "Future Network Test facilities for National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure: future Internet Test Facility FITI" undertaken by Tsinghua University, and it is also an important part of the FITI high-performance backbone network. At present, the channel runs smoothly and reliably, and has reached the design target through various tests.

The project is built by 40 universities, including Tsinghua University, mainly based on pure IPv6 technology, covering dozens of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
The official previously revealed that the project has basically completed the main construction task, has built and opened a FITI high-performance backbone network, connecting 40 core nodes distributed in 35 cities, with a maximum bandwidth of 200G, realized interconnection with domestic and foreign IPv4 / IPv6 test facilities, has the ability to support large-scale network architecture innovation experiments, and can support large-scale future Internet trials in 4096 independent autonomous domains.
Wu Jianping, head of the FITI project, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and professor of Tsinghua University, said that the completion and opening of 1.2T ultra-high-speed next-generation Internet backbone has provided an important technological reserve for China's construction of ultra-high-speed next-generation Internet, and will certainly become an important contribution to the development of the global next-generation Internet.
