CTOnews.com, November 13, the China Meteorological Administration announced that the international edition of Fengyun Earth was officially released on November 13, which is a comprehensive satellite remote sensing application platform developed and upgraded by the China Meteorological Administration for international users following the commissioning of the Fengyun Earth platform in June 2022.

According to the ▲ "Fengyun Earth" international edition, according to the National Satellite Meteorological Center, this move aims to further use Fengyun meteorological satellite and meteorological remote sensing satellite technology to provide services for the co-building of "Belt and Road Initiative" countries, and to enhance international users' sense of experience of Fengyun meteorological satellite data and product applications.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the Fengyun Earth platform was officially put into trial operation in June 2022 to provide support for national forecasting operations. Fengyun Earth platform, guided by the needs of forecasters, focuses on typhoon, severe convection, rainstorm and other weather, and strengthens the quantitative support role of satellite data in fine weather monitoring and early warning.

According to the individual needs of different international users, Fengyun Earth International Edition focuses on meteorological core business, strengthens the application of multi-source satellite data fusion, and provides international users with "highly time-effective, intelligent, refined and customizable" Fengyun meteorological satellite remote sensing application services.

On the basis of the construction of full-service chain, Fengyun Earth International Edition can obtain meteorological satellite, numerical forecast and other multi-source data in high time, produce quantitative products quickly and carry out international service in high time; with the help of advanced artificial intelligence technology, carry out automatic analysis, mining and modeling of massive meteorological satellite data, intelligently identify disastrous weather and extreme weather events, and improve the convenience and practicability of users. Provide more than 100 quantitative and multi-scale products in five categories, including cloud maps, elements, disaster events, climate, model verification, etc., to support different business scenarios; according to different countries and regions, configure meteorological elements, observation areas, time ranges, etc., to meet the individual needs of users in business, scientific research and public services.
