After in-depth discussion and repeated demonstration with experts in the industry, an automatic driving unit has been set up in China Intelligent Internet-connected Vehicle Technical Regulations (C-ICAP), and the Evaluation Rules for C-ICAP High-speed Road Automatic Driving System (Draft for Comments) have been formed, which is now widely solicited from the whole society.

CTOnews.com Note: The automatic driving system here refers to the system composed of hardware and software for ADS to realize automatic driving function. The "automatic driving system" refers to the driving automation system of level 3 and above specified in GB / T 40429-2021.

According to introduction, the evaluation rules of high-speed road automatic driving system mainly include two parts: real road performance and achievable function quantity.

"Real road performance" mainly evaluates three aspects: safety guarantee, driving experience and traffic efficiency, among which "achievable function" mainly evaluates basic scenes and complex scenes during the use of automatic driving, comprehensively considering five aspects of safety, comfort, efficiency, takeover time and minimum risk strategy of automatic driving system.

According to introduction,"China Intelligent Network Automobile Technical Regulations" will be implemented step by step, and it is expected that a complete evaluation system will be launched in 2025.
