According to Heilongjiang release, the beam erection project of the Tieyi section of the northernmost high-speed railway under construction in China has been fully completed recently, laying a solid foundation for the laying of tracks, according to the Heilongjiang release report on November 11, CTOnews.com.

According to reports, the Hai-Yi high-speed railway is the highest latitude under construction in China, the largest temperature difference in the whole year, and the first high-speed railway to pass through the permafrost for many years, starting from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, through Suihua City, and finally to Yichun City. The full-length 318km of the main line is designed at a speed of 250km per hour. In addition, the high-speed railway is an extension of the Beijing-Harbin-Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao corridor of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network.

The high-speed railway consists of the section from Harbin to Tieli and from Tieli to Yichun, which started construction in October 2021 and beam construction in July 2022.
