Strauss Zelnick said bluntly that the company is not interested in the "GTA" series of films and TV series, and it is not worth the effort. He further explained that if Take-Two makes a film or TV series at its own expense, it can make a lot of money as long as it is successful, but this is unlikely. He also believes that film and television is a very difficult industry. "this is not what we want to do."

He also mentioned another plan-to license the "GTA" series to a third party and get a share of the profits from the film and television production. Of course, he also rejected the plan. In his opinion, even if the movie is a hit, it is not worth the trouble.

Zelnick cited Mattel's "Barbie" as an example. Mattel's licensing profit from the film is expected to be $125 million (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 913 million yuan). It says that if "GTA" is adapted into a film and television production, then Take-Two will be able to earn only a "fraction" of its game business revenue-provided the work is successful.
