CTOnews.com, November 11, SpaceX announced that the starship / starship (Starship) will launch its second flight test on November 17 and is awaiting final regulatory approval. The live broadcast of the flight test will begin about 30 minutes before liftoff.

Officials say the starship's first flight test provided a great deal of experience and led directly to multiple upgrades to vehicles and ground infrastructure to improve the likelihood of successful flights in the future.

The second flight test will introduce for the first time a thermal stage separation system and a new Electronic thrust Vector Control (TVC) system for ultra-heavy Raptor engines, as well as base reinforcement and water-cooled steel flame deflectors, as well as many other enhancements.

CTOnews.com noted that the starship began its first flight on April 20, but an accident occurred about four minutes after the mission and ground controllers were forced to issue self-destruct orders. The starship did not immediately respond to the order, causing dangerous delays over the Gulf of Mexico.

The explosion caused several serious problems, including severe damage to the launcher, wildfires, impact on local wildlife and debris scattered over hundreds of acres.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) concluded its investigation into the failure of the starship launch in September and submitted a list of 63 corrective actions to the SpaceX to ensure its next starship launch license.

Since the first launch of the starship, SpaceX has made a number of changes to the launch pad, including steel reinforcement under the launcher and a new sprinkler system to suppress the power of the ship's 33 Raptor engines.
