CTOnews.com, November 11 (Xinhua)-- Apple has introduced a new sidebar for Apple TV apps in its recently released iOS / tvOS 17.2 developer beta update, which integrates resources such as search, Watch Now, channels, shopping malls and movie libraries. The latest news is that Apple will phase out iTunes Movie Store and migrate related features to Apple TV apps.

Foreign technology media 9to5Mac dug deep into the iOS / tvOS 17.2 Beta 2 code and found that Apple plans to merge iTunes Movie Store and Apple TV applications.

Apple currently offers the option to buy movies and TV shows in its Apple TV app, but users can also buy it through a special iTunes Movie Store.

It is written in the mining code: "iTunes Movie Store has been migrated to Apple TV applications", but in Beta 2, users can still access iTunes Movie Store and purchase related media resources.

CTOnews.com reported in September that Apple updated its iTunes Movie Trailers app with the latest version 2.0, writing in the update log: "iTunes Movie Trailers has moved to the Apple TV app, and users can open the Apple TV app to watch the trailer."
