China's automobile production and sales completed 289.1 and 2.853 million vehicles respectively, an increase of 11.2% and 13.8% respectively over the same period last year. From January to October, China's automobile production and sales completed 2401.6 and 23.967 million respectively, an increase of 8 per cent and 9.1 per cent respectively over the same period last year.

New car sales of new energy vehicles reached 33.5% of the total sales of new cars. From January to October, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 735.2 million and 7.28 million respectively, an increase of 33.9% and 37.8% respectively over the same period last year. New energy vehicle sales reached 30.4% of total new car sales.

In addition, China exported 488000 vehicles in October, up 44.2 percent from the same period last year, and 124000 new energy vehicles, up 12.8 percent from the same period last year. From January to October, the export of complete vehicles was 3.922 million, up 59.7 percent over the same period last year, and the export of new energy vehicles was 995000, an increase of 99.1 percent over the same period last year.

The data also show that the operating income of China's automobile manufacturing industry from January to September was 7.11499 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.4 percent over the same period last year, and the total profit was 345.99 billion yuan, an increase of 0.1 percent over the same period last year.
