Shao Shuitao said that in 2024, China Telecom will strive to promote domestic TOP mobile phone brands to fully support directly connected satellites, and domestic chip mobile phones fully support quantum secret calls.

For mobile phones directly connected to satellites, support domestic mainstream mobile phone terminal manufacturers to launch directly connected satellite flagship models, with no less than 5 terminal models on the market by the end of 2024. China Telecom will support priority cooperation in the collection of directly connected satellite flagship models, with a collection of more than 5 million units, which will be fully integrated into its own channels.

In addition, China Telecom will further increase the popularization of 5G messages and 5G enhanced calls. In terms of 5G message, the terminal must be supported from October 1, 2023. In the first half of 2024, China Telecom hopes that terminal manufacturers can launch to support dual-card 5G message and cooperate to carry out 5G message service integration and innovation.
