Since December 25, 2023, a total of 200 Audi E-TRON GT and RS E-TRON GT series cars manufactured from September 28, 2022 to June 1, 2023 have been recalled.

With regard to the reasons for the recall, the amount of sealant between the high-voltage battery frame and the battery cover of some vehicles within the scope of this recall is insufficient, and the liquid may enter the interior of the high-voltage battery, resulting in a decrease in the internal insulation resistance of the high-voltage battery and an increase in the risk of thermal runaway of the high-voltage battery.

FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. will entrust FAW Audi franchise dealers to test the leakage of high-voltage batteries for vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace high-voltage batteries free of charge for vehicles with potential leakage risks, so as to eliminate safety risks.

FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. will notify the car owner by registered letter, text message and so on. Audi authorizes the distributor to contact the relevant users according to the recall plan and arrange for free recall and maintenance.
