CTOnews.com November 10 news, 3DMark is currently the mainstream GPU benchmark running test tool, FireStrike mainly tests DirectX 11 scenarios, and TimeSpy mainly tests DirectX 12 scenarios.

3DMark celebrates its 25th anniversary with a new flagship benchmark called Steel Nomad, which will replace TimeSpy.

This release coincides with NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 40 series SUPER graphics card, which will be launched early next year.

3DMark says Steel Nomad runs on multiple platforms, APIs and operating systems.

On Windows, Steel Nomad will use the latest DirectX 12 API, on macOS it will use Metal, and on Android and Linux it will use Vulkan.

For different APIs and systems, the expected results are separate, but this has not been proven.

Based on early screenshots of the new Steel Nomad benchmark, which combines futuristic steampunk fantasy with a Western vibe, it is expected to further squeeze and maximize GPU performance. CTOnews.com attaches the following image:

3DMark officials have not announced the launch date of Steel Nomad, which is expected to be released with the new 3DMark suite.
