CTOnews.com, Nov. 10, Nokia issued a press release today, claiming that the company has completed the test and verification of 5G SA core functional operation for the first time in the Sylva open source cloud stack environment.

After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that Sylva is an open source network environment project, launched at the end of 2022 under the leadership of the European Linux Foundation, which aims to reduce the fragmentation of telecommunications and edge computing cloud infrastructure. Nokia, Orange and other network operators are "loyal supporters" of the plan.
