CTOnews.com, November 9, according to the latest data tracked by EV-Volumes, global electric vehicle sales in September 2023 are close to 1.3 million, setting a new record.

The agency counted a total of 1291077 new electric vehicles registered worldwide in September, up 23% from a year earlier and accounting for 17% of the global automotive sector.

Of these, BEV sold about 890000 vehicles, with a market share of 12 per cent, while hybrid (PHEV) sold about 400000 vehicles, with a market share of 5 per cent.

According to statistics, global electric vehicle sales from January to September 2023 were 9.4 million, accounting for about 16 per cent of total sales, an increase of 39 per cent year-on-year.

Of these, pure electricity (BEV) sold about 6.5 million vehicles, and hybrid (PHEV) sold about 2.8 million.

Sales of electric vehicles exceeded 10 million in 2022 and are expected to exceed 13 million in 2023.

Subdivided into models, Tesla Model Y remained the world's best-selling model in September, with sales of 121000 vehicles.

BYD has five seats in the top 10 electric vehicles (including pure electric and hybrid), and eight of them are from domestic new energy brands.

BYD yuan Plus (overseas market is called ATTO 3): sales of 35378 vehicles

BYD Seagull: sales of 35012 vehicles

BYD Dolphin: sales of 27240 vehicles

GAC Ian Y: sales of 27004 vehicles

Tesla Model 3: sales of 26058 vehicles

Biadihan: sales of 22936 vehicles

Guangzhou Auto Ian S: sales of 21548 vehicles
