Net sales in the second quarter are 2.83 trillion yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 136.689 billion yuan), with an estimated 2.88 trillion yen, an increase of 8% year-on-year.

Second-quarter operating profit is 263.01 billion yen (currently about 12.703 billion yuan), estimated at 302.46 billion yen, down 29% from a year earlier; second-quarter net profit is 200.11 billion yen (currently about 9.665 billion yuan), with an estimated 2214 billion yen, down 29% from the same period last year.

From the perspective of business, Sony games and the Internet, music, film and television and other areas have increased, in entertainment, technology and services, financial services and other areas have declined.

Sony expects a full-year net profit of 880 billion yen (currently about 42.504 billion yuan), compared with a previous estimate of 860 billion yen; it still expects a full-year operating profit of 1.17 trillion yen (currently about 56.511 billion yuan).

Sony Group expects a full-year operating profit of 295 billion yen (currently about 14.249 billion yuan) for its music business, compared with a previous estimate of 280 billion yen; it still forecasts an operating profit of 270 billion yen (currently about 13.041 billion yuan) for the game business; and an estimated operating profit of 1950 billion yen (currently about 9.419 billion yuan) for the semiconductor business.
