CTOnews.com, Nov. 9, according to a press release on Apple's website, Apple will hold a new Swift Student Challenge in February 2024, in which Apple will set up a new category to recognize "50 outstanding winners who have submitted outstanding entries."

Apple says interest in learning programming and App development is widespread among students. Whether they want to join the technology industry or not, these skills are of great benefit to them.

In September, YPulse conducted an independent survey of more than 1000 students across the United States. The researchers found that 92% of the students surveyed thought learning programming was very important, and 94% thought programming was an important skill in the future job market. In addition, students agree that there are many benefits to mastering programming and developing App skills, including improving creativity, solving local and global problems, and ultimately making the world a better place.

Susan Prescott, vice president of global developer relations, corporate and educational product marketing at Apple, said, "at Apple, we believe that everyone can learn to program and develop App, and we are proud to host the Swift Student Challenge every year to support and recognize aspiring student developers."

We understand that students are eager to learn programming to solve problems they care about, such as developing an App to help students find mental health resources, or supporting sustainable development initiatives on campus. They want to know how to start learning.

Apple will release new programming resources for students and educators, work with community partners to develop their own Swift programming projects, and share notifications about the timing of 2024 events. We can't wait to see the App playground submitted by the students next year.

Apple claims that students can submit an App playground to participate in the Swift Student Challenge during the three weeks of February 2024, and students can sign up on the Apple developer website to be notified at the start of the challenge.

CTOnews.com also noted that Apple said that of the 350 winners, 50 outstanding winners would be invited to Apple headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., next summer to communicate with other winners and the Apple team. All winners will receive an one-year Apple Developer Program membership and will be able to submit App to App Store and receive support from Apple.
