Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Tesla, an American electric car manufacturer, recently hired an experienced manufacturing executive from Stellantis Group to focus on quality control of Tesla's Texas Super Factory.

Last year, Tesla transferred Zhu Xiaotong, an executive in charge of China, to the United States to take charge of all manufacturing and sales operations in North America. Since then, Zhu Xiaotong has recruited many new employees to improve Tesla's manufacturing level.

According to foreign media reports, Tesla has recently made some moves in executive hiring. Earlier this year, Tesla hired Eli Lilly manufacturing executive Michael Hildebrand to oversee the expansion of the Nevada Superplant. It also poached a top manufacturing executive from Bosch, Michael Schmitt, to run the superplant.

Tesla recently hired Kahiree Gans, a top manufacturing quality executive from Stellantis Group. Ganz recently updated his LinkedIn profile to confirm that he is now Tesla's "Quality Operations Director" for the Texas Superplant.

Gans holds a degree in mechanical engineering from tuskegee university and a master's degree in manufacturing engineering from the university of michigan. He began his manufacturing engineering career at General Motors. For the past ten years, Ganz has worked for Stellantis Group in several different positions in powertrain engineering and production. Prior to his departure, Gans was Head of Manufacturing Quality for the Stellantis Group Engine Division.

For now, he will be in charge of quality control at critical moments in Tesla's Texas Superplant.

Tesla's Texas plant is shifting from producing only Model Y electric SUVs to producing Cybertruck electric pickups. In addition, Tesla also produces batteries at its Texas Superplant and deploys a new "unboxed" production process.

Tesla is working to increase the annual production capacity of electric vehicles from about 2 million today to 20 million by the end of the 2020s. In an effort to boost Tesla's leadership in manufacturing, Tesla has hired a number of new employees, with Gans being the latest to join.

Many industry analysts didn't believe Tesla could reach 20 million vehicles a year, but many didn't believe Tesla could reach its goal of 1 million electric vehicles a year either.
