CTOnews.com, Nov. 8 (Xinhua)-- China Mobile launched the high-frequency disturbance phone protection feature nationwide in 2019. After more than four years of operation, the service officially announced that the number of subscribers has exceeded 200 million.

According to reports, China Mobile's high-frequency harassment phone protection service is a free service using cloud interception technology, which provides users with harassment call interception service, which can prevent harassment without installing App. China Mobile users can open it free of charge by sending KTFSR to 10086 via SMS.

The service uses a harassing phone number library dynamically generated based on communication big data, tagging and yellow pages information and callback verification results, which judges and intercepts all kinds of high-frequency harassing calls in real time in the cloud, and notifies users of the interception results with MMS or Wechat.

Users can also make custom settings on the official account of "China Mobile High Frequency harassment phone Protection", including blacklist, whitelist, harassment interception settings, custom number range and so on.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the total number of China Mobile customers reached 990 million as of September 30, 2023. In other words, about 1/5 of China's mobile phone users have subscribed to the service.
