CTOnews.com, November 8 (Xinhua)-- Samsung this week released an November 2023 security patch for Galaxy models and updated its "list of supported devices" to remove the original Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Fold 5G phones.

The original Galaxy Fold is stuck in Android 12, which was released two years ago, but Samsung has been pushing security updates.

CTOnews.com note: Samsung originally expected to launch the Galaxy Fold on April 25, 2019, but it was postponed to September 2019 due to problems during the media and evaluation bloggers' trial.

After this update push, Samsung may push another update for the original Galaxy Fold in some markets. If no particularly serious security vulnerabilities are found later, Samsung will not push updates for it.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 2 support cycle has one year left; the first Galaxy Z Flip's four-year cycle is coming to an end and will be supported until the first quarter of 2024.
