According to reports, the large model is composed of Samsung Gauss Language, Samsung Gauss Code and Samsung Gauss Image, named after the legendary mathematician John Carl Friedrich Gauss, who founded the normal distribution theory of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

As can be seen from the naming of the three large models, Gauss will target areas such as AI chat, AI code, AI images, and so on.

Samsung Gauss Language is a generative language model that improves productivity by simplifying tasks such as writing email, summarizing documents, and translating content. When integrated into the product, it can also enhance the consumer experience by implementing smarter device control.

Samsung Gauss Code and the programming assistant (code.i) that runs on it are optimized for internal software development, allowing developers to write code easily and quickly. It also supports functions such as code description and test case generation through the interactive interface.

Samsung Gauss Image is a generated image model that generates and edits creative images, including changing and adding styles, while converting low-resolution images to high-resolution images.

Samsung said that Gauss is currently used to improve employee productivity, but will be extended to various Samsung official App in the near future to provide a new user experience.
