From January to September 2023, electric vehicles registered in various countries around the world (EV, PHEV, HEV) carried about 485.9GWH batteries, an increase of 44.4% compared with the same period last year.

In 2022, the global power battery was loaded with 517.9GWH, and the current statistics have exceeded 90% of that of last year. In September, the global power battery loaded 56.9GWH was 13.9% lower than that of August 66.1GWH.

CTOnews.com noted that the shortlist has not changed compared with the top 10 in January-August-six Chinese companies: Ningde Times, BYD, China New Airlines, Yiwei LiNeng, Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Xinwanda. There are three Korean companies: LG New Energy, SK On, and Samsung SDI. The Japanese company is Panasonic.

The market share of six Chinese battery companies was 62.9%, down 0.2 percentage points from 63.1% in January-August, but up 4.7 percentage points from 58.2% in the same period last year. The market share of the three South Korean companies was 23.8%, down 1.1 percentage points from the same period last year and a slight increase of 0.4 percentage points from January to August.
