According to reports, the documentary Chronicle of Chinese Games truly records the development of Chinese games for more than 30 years, shows the unique function and intrinsic value of the cultural inheritance and dissemination of games, and through positive values and rich image content, guide the broad audience to establish a scientific concept of cultural consumption, stimulate the innovative and creative spirit of game enterprises, and give birth to more healthy and progressive masterpieces. More outstanding enterprises with a sense of social responsibility have emerged.

Through three episodes and three themes: germination, growth and circle breaking, the documentary tells the struggle process of China's game industry from scratch and from weak to strong.

The total length of the film is 106 minutes, 66 guests from 44 units appeared on camera, and more than 100 people from the industry participated in the production of the film. the film crew conducted research and shooting in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing and other places.

The Game working Committee of the China Music and Digital Association said that the film takes the historical timeline as the context and explains to the society from the perspective of industry and practitioners that China's game industry has gone through different stages of germination, growth and even broken circles. It truly records all aspects of the development of China's game industry, in order to arouse the attention of the public, and is of great significance and value in promoting the society to treat China's game industry comprehensively and rationally.
