CTOnews.com, November 7, CTOnews.com learned from the official account in Pudong that the first 2-ton eVTOL (Electric Vertical take-off and Landing vehicle) M1 independently developed by Yufeng was moved to the scene of the sixth China International Import Expo just after its successful first flight in Shanghai, and received orders on the second day of the world premiere of the Expo.

At this Expo, Ampaire Anfei, a service provider of aircraft electric power system in Los Angeles, California, jointly participated in the exhibition with the new force of low-altitude travel, Yufeng Future, and appeared in the "Future Travel" area of the automobile exhibition area, bringing four types of green energy high-performance aircraft.

On the afternoon of November 6, Longhao Airlines, Yufeng Future and Ampaire Anfei held the signing ceremony of the intended order at the Yufeng Future booth. Longhao Aviation Industry Investment Co., Ltd. purchased a total of 230 million yuan worth of products from Yufeng Future intention, including 15 nationally produced M1prides, 5 hybrid models developed in cooperation with Anfei in the future, as well as some maintenance support equipment and training services. In the future, these aircraft and services will be mainly used for freight logistics in the central and western regions, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and coastal islands.

Electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle, also known as eVTOL, is generally regarded as the main means of transportation to solve the demand for short-distance air travel within and between cities in the future, and is also known as the "air taxi" in the future.

The M1 eVTOL has a wingspan of 15 meters, a fuselage length of 10 meters and a height of 3 meters. Using pure electric power of green environmental protection, the design range is 250km, the cruising speed is 200km/h, the maximum load is 500kg, and it can take 5 people. M1 vertical take-off and landing does not need a runway, and the requirements for take-off and landing site and environment are low. Compared with helicopter and other aircraft, it has higher security, lower manufacturing and operating costs, green and noise-free, and is suitable for large-scale popularization. in the future, it will be mainly used to solve the needs of short-distance air travel within and between cities. It takes only 30 minutes to get to this "flying" car, which used to be a two-to three-hour drive.

Hong Nan, deputy general manager of Longhao Aviation Industry Investment Co., Ltd., said that new energy aircraft is a major trend in the future because of its low manufacturing and operating costs and higher safety. The Midwest and islands are very good scenarios for the operation of eVTOL aircraft, which are planned to be used to transport high-value products that require high timeliness in the future.

Prior to this, Yufeng officially released the manned eVTOL M1 design in September 2022, and the first M1 aircraft was officially offline from the factory at the end of March 2023.
