CTOnews.com has attached NASA images of HH212's star's "birth and growth" accompanied by "violence," which produces powerful shock waves and energy jets.

HH212 is located approximately 1300 light-years from Earth, near three bright stars in Orion's Belt: Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka.

The central protostar spews out high-velocity gas at both ends, interacting with the surrounding medium to form a series of bright nodules and bow shocks. The jet extends 1.6 light-years in the image, and the larger image shows that the jet extends further to the left and right to 6.5 light-years.

In Webb's image, however, the protostar cannot be seen because it is hidden behind a dense, spinning disk of gas and dust.
