CTOnews.com, Nov. 7 (Xinhua)-- FPS godfather John Romero (John Romero), known as Dionysus, recently announced that he is developing a new game for "DOOM" and plans to launch "Sigil II" on December 10 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original release.

Sigil II can be thought of as the unofficial episode 6 of Doom, with a total of nine levels, including two exclusive levels designed for death contests.

The new work will be released free of charge, but there will be an open digital version with two exclusive soundtracks provided by Thorr and James Paddock.

Romero also plans to launch a physical version of "Sigil II", a unique version that will be included in a custom USB flash drive designed to resemble shotgun casings, as well as a variety of digital and physical awards.

Romero also arranged an online chat via Twitch to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Doom. The chat, scheduled for December 10, will have a fascinating discussion with John Carmack, co-founder of Romero at id Software, about Doom, which was released 30 years ago.
