CTOnews.com, November 7, according to data from the General Administration of Customs, China's exports of mechanical and electrical products totaled 11.43 trillion yuan in the first 10 months, an increase of 2.8 percent, accounting for 58.5 percent of the total export value. Of this total, automatic data processing equipment and its parts were 1.09 trillion yuan, down 17.5%; mobile phones were 762.9 billion yuan, down 2%; and cars (including chassis) were 582.43 billion yuan, up 88.5%.

In terms of import data, in the first 10 months, China imported 5.31 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, down 7.6 percent from the same period last year. Of this total, automatic data processing equipment and its parts and components were 287.13 billion yuan, down 9.4%, and cars (including chassis) were 268.31 billion yuan, down 9.9%.
