CTOnews.com November 6 news, according to the "Shanghai Jiading" official account, Oriental Network and other reports, in the opening of the sixth China International Import Expo yesterday, Porsche's latest pure electric concept supercar Mission X ushered in the Asian debut. According to Porsche officials, if the car can be mass produced, it will become the fastest road car on the Newborough Green North Ring Road.

The car was unveiled during the Goodwood Speed Festival in July to mark the 75th anniversary of Porsche. It is 4.5m long and 2m wide, with a wheelbase of 2.73m and a height of less than 1.2m, which is the same size as the Carrera GT and 918Spyder. In addition, the car uses a lightweight glass roof and a carbon fiber exoskeleton frame to provide a wider field of vision and better safety.

In order to enhance its aerodynamic performance, the new car uses 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels, and is equipped with cameras in B-pillar, rear and other positions as streaming rearview mirrors. Officials say the car has a power-to-weight ratio of about 1:1 and the lower pressure will far exceed the current 911 GT3 RS model.

The car will be equipped with a 900V electrical architecture and a new generation of PSM permanent magnet synchronous motor at twice the charging speed of the Taycan Turbo S.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that Porsche plans to gradually shift its car lineup to electric cars, aiming for electric vehicles to account for 80% of its sales by 2030, and plans to make its iconic 911 the only fuel model.

Karl Dums, head of Porsche's electronic fuel team, has said the company plans to motorize its SUV model, the Macan, followed by the 718 sports car, followed by the best-selling Cayenne. But the 911, which accounted for 13% of Porsche's sales in 2022, is an exception.

"my strategy is to switch to electric cars first, but we will use internal combustion engines to produce 911 for as long as possible," Karl Dums said. " He also said Porsche's electric vehicle program is separate from its investment in electronic fuel.
