Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Brother Black fly's left hand clue delivery! CTOnews.com November 6 news, the market survey agency TechInsights today released the 2023 Q3 China smartphone market analysis report. Data show that Chinese smartphone shipments fell 5% year-on-year in the quarter, marking the 10th consecutive quarter of year-on-year decline in domestic smartphone shipments.

The agency analysis said that the continuous decline in shipments is caused by weak consumer demand, uncertain economic prospects and other factors. However, the pace of decline in the quarter has stabilized, indicating that the market is bottoming out and the Chinese market is expected to begin to recover in the coming quarters.

According to its released data, the top five manufacturers in terms of market share are Glory, OPPO (including one plus), vivo, Apple and Xiaomi. CTOnews.com summarizes the detailed data as follows:

Glory: 11.2 million units shipped, accounting for 17.6% of the market share, down 7.4% from the same period last year.

OPPO: shipments of 10.9 million units, accounting for 17.1% of the market share, down 10.7% from a year earlier

Vivo: shipments of 10.7 million units, accounting for 16.8% market share, down 25.2% from the same period last year

Apple: shipped 9.7 million units, accounting for 15.2% of the market share, down 5.8% from a year earlier

Xiaomi: 9.1 million units shipped, accounting for 14.2% market share, up 0.6% from the same period last year

Others: shipments totaled 12.2 million units, accounting for 19.1% of the market share, up 35% from a year earlier

Together, the top five manufacturers accounted for 81% of the market, down from 87% a year ago, with Huawei eating away most of the market share. It is worth mentioning that Huawei's shipments surged 50 per cent year-on-year in the quarter with its self-sufficient 5G smartphones, taking a 13 per cent market share. According to the agency, if Huawei can bring 5G-enabled terminal smartphones to market and overcome supply constraints, then China's smartphone market may be "reshuffled" in the coming quarters.
