For example, the Win10 1703 version is less than 4GB, while the last Windows 10 version released in November 2022 grew to 5.8GB.

Of course, Windows 11 shows a similar trend. According to Windows Latest, the ISO sizes of the three versions of Windows 11 are as follows:

Windows 11 2021 (all versions) 64-bit-5.7GB

Windows 11 2022 (all versions) 64-bit-5.8GB

Windows 11 2023 (all versions) 64-bit-6.24GB

For now, the increase in the size of Windows 11 23H2 can be attributed to a series of new features, such as the new version of File Explorer developed based on WinAppSDK.
