The Facebook co-founder revealed his injury in an Instagram post on Friday, saying: "my ACL is torn and I just had surgery to replace it."

"I was supposed to train for a comprehensive combat match early next year, but now the plan will be delayed a little bit," Zuckerberg said. "I'm still looking forward to playing after I recover."

Zuckerberg also attached a photo of him at an unnamed hospital, showing him before and after the operation, as well as his wife Priscilla Chan taking care of him while he was recovering.

CTOnews.com notes that Zuckerberg has developed an interest in mixed combat and competitive combat in recent years and has been undergoing a variety of training, including Brazilian jujitsu (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). He revealed on Facebook in May that he took part in his first jujitsu competition and won a gold medal and a silver medal.
