Yoshua Bengio said in an interview that mankind should be worried about the concentration of power in AI, and the emergence of ChatGPT makes him even more worried about who will control these (AI) systems. He stressed that people should avoid the situation where the rules are made by those giants, and the government needs to ensure that when making rules, it does not just listen to the views of technology companies. instead, it should ensure that public safety and moral considerations are at the centre of regulation.

In addition, he opposes the view that Meta's chief AI scientist, Yann LeCun, French, "AI will not destroy mankind", saying it is dangerous and wrong. "I think it is dangerous to make such an argument in the absence of any strong evidence that this is impossible. He despises the risks of AI."
