On November 2, AMD officially launched new Ruilong 57545U and Ruilong 37440U processors, both of which use the new density optimization microarchitecture Zen 4c, and the core package size will be further reduced and will be used in notebook products.

Some of the hardware specifications of the new model have changed compared to the previous version of the Ruilong 57540U. For example, the Ruilong 57540U has now been upgraded to 2 Zen 4 cores + 4 Zen 4c cores, while the Aurong 37440U remains unchanged, still with 1 Zen 4 core + 3 Zen 4c cores.

It is understood that the new processor introduces a hybrid design of Zen 4 core and Zen 4c core, but in essence, it is completely different from Intel's P performance core + E energy efficiency core. Zen 4c retains all the core parameters of Zen, such as the same instruction set, IPC, cache structure, support for SMT hyperthreading and so on.

The difference is that the core area of Zen 4c is only 2.48mm, which is 35% less than the core area of Zen 4. The introduction of Zen 4c will further expand the advantages of energy efficiency, lower power consumption and higher performance of notebooks equipped with Ruilong processor through higher core density. At the same time, it can also increase the number of cores to improve performance and upgrade higher positioning processor models in the future.

According to officials, the Ruilong 57545U with Zen 4c architecture performs better at low power consumption than the Ruilong 57540U with Zen 4 architecture, and has stronger multi-core performance at 10-15W power consumption, while Zen 4 architecture has a higher performance limit at high power consumption.

In terms of specific parameters, Ruilong 57545U is 6-core 12-thread, acceleration frequency is 4.9GHz TDP 15-30W TDP, equipped with 4CU built-in graphics card Radeon 740m. Ruilong 37440U is a 4-core 8-thread, acceleration frequency is 4.7 GHz TDP 15-30W, equipped with 4CU built-in graphics card Radeon 740m.
