CTOnews.com November 3 news, BMW Group announced today that revenue for the third quarter is 38.46 billion euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 299.219 billion yuan), with an estimated revenue of 37.54 billion euros, an increase of 3.4 percent over the same period last year. Revenue for the fiscal year to the end of September increased steadily to 112.53 billion euros (currently about 875.483 billion yuan).

In terms of car sales, BMW Group sold 621699 vehicles in the third quarter and 1836563 in the first nine months, up 5.8 per cent and 5.1 per cent respectively from a year earlier.

BMW said it was still on track to achieve a full-year EBIT margin of 9-10.5 per cent in its automotive division, with a steady increase in customer delivery. By the third quarter, battery electric vehicles accounted for 15.1% of total sales, reaching the full-year target of 15% (8.9% in the same period in 2022, up 69.7% from a year earlier). The proportion of pure electric vehicle sales climbed to 13.4% in the first nine months (7.3% in the same period in 2022, up 83.6% from a year earlier).

In the Chinese market, BMW delivered 210659 vehicles in China in the third quarter (compared with 214565 in the same period in 2022, down 1.8 per cent from a year earlier). As of the end of September, BMW Group's total delivery volume in China increased to 603920 vehicles, up 1.7% from a year earlier, mainly due to changes in MINI models.

BMW is promoting the electrification of its product line: by 2024, 1/5 of its new cars will be all-electric; by 2025, 1/4 of new cars will be all-electric.
