CTOnews.com November 3 news, BYD South Korea Branch launched the BYD eBus9 pure electric bus model in the Korean market on October 31, and held a delivery ceremony to commemorate the delivery of the No. 1 vehicle at the Hanfei transport terminal in Longren, Gyeonggi Province.

Weibo CTOnews.com, a BYD commercial vehicle, noted that the BYD eBus9, BYD's first 9m pure electric bus in the South Korean market, was equipped with a "lithium iron phosphate blade battery", which improved space utilization by about 20 per cent and had a mileage of 474km certified by the Ministry of Environment.

BYD eBus9 uses BYD's newly developed single motor (Central AC Synchronous) and is equipped with an electronic braking system from WABCO in Germany to improve driving force and reduce vehicle side slip risk.

As of September this year, BYD has successfully delivered more than 78000 electric buses to customers worldwide, covering more than 70 countries and more than 400 cities around the world.

This year, BYD South Korea will deliver 120 BYD eBus9 to customers, accumulating to sell a total of 726 electric buses by the end of this year. The new 11m (B11) bus is also in the certification stage and is expected to be put on the market next year.
