It is reported that during this year's Double 11 period, Cainiao also upgraded green recycling, from express packaging recycling to old clothes and other multi-category recycling, Niu Zhijing also invited everyone to Cainiao Post Station to experience express packaging recycling, jointly participate in green carbon reduction.

After the beginning of Double 11 this year, tens of thousands of rookie stations across the country posted eye-catching posters for express packaging recycling, opened recycling desks, and guided consumers to leave express packaging to receive environmental protection gold. This is the seventh year for rookie to carry out express packaging recycling. The recycled express packaging can be used for free delivery by consumers, so that express packaging can be recycled.

In addition, relying on digitalization capability and its own logistics network capability, Cainiao optimizes warehouse network layout, transportation route planning, packaging material recommendation, etc. by using algorithms, so as to make distribution routes shorter and packaging materials smaller, save energy and reduce emissions from the whole links such as commodity storage, package transportation and distribution, etc., and also realize cost reduction and efficiency increase, making ESG more sustainable.

Niu Zhijing said that Cainiao has a large-scale logistics network, one connected to merchants and the other connected to consumers, which is a good link bridge. Cainiao is also trying to link brand merchants to promote the landing of carbon accounts, create carbon bills for consumers, and let consumers perceive brand carbon reduction and join carbon reduction.

It is reported that Cainiao ESG includes green logistics, emergency logistics, community service, high-quality employment and user experience. In terms of green logistics, Cainiao is one of the earliest companies in the domestic logistics industry to launch green initiatives.
