Cainiao also constantly innovates carbon reduction models based on its own logistics and technical capabilities. In 2023, rookie and Nike launched the "Nike Old Shoes Rebirth" project, which continues to expand in scale. With the help of Cainiao, it has become easier to recycle old shoes. At present, it has covered 22 universities in Central China, East China and South China, affecting more than 750,000 students.

The green B2B recycling box developed by Cainiao not only solves the problems of difficult inventory and high error rate, but also realizes recycling to avoid waste of packaging materials by carrying self-developed RFID chip and recycling "one box and one code." During the Double 11 period, green recycling boxes were also used in factories with brands such as Ma Liuji, British and Cold Card, further reducing the use of cartons.

In order to encourage more consumers to participate in green recycling activities, during this year's Double 11 period, Cainiao also upgraded green recycling, participating in express packaging recycling at Cainiao Post Station can receive recycling gold. At the same time, the recycling category has also expanded to clothing and old books.

In addition, Cainiao has also established an emergency logistics system. Since the beginning of this year, Cainiao has signed contracts and cooperated with relevant units such as Shanghai City Food and Material Reserve Bureau and Zhejiang Province Emergency Management Department to jointly promote the creation of a new mode of government-enterprise cooperation for joint guarantee of emergency materials. At the same time, it has also reached strategic cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme, becoming its first strategic cooperation Chinese logistics enterprise.
